About the event
Join me for some Juicy Cane dance combinations inspired from my latest study trip in Luxor.
In December 2023 I had the immense opportunity to study the Egyptian Martial Art Tahtteeb, Assaya (Stick). Known in the West as "Cane Dance".
I have been a student and practicioner of this art for many years. And combine traditional forms with modern movement.
Unveiling the Ancient Art of Tahtheeb: Dive into the Rich Legacy of Upper Egyptian Martial Arts Dance.
Join me on an exhilarating journey as we explore the traditional combat techniques and cultural significance of Tahtheeb – an upper Egyptian martial art that dates back centuries. Discover the art of wielding the long stick as a weapon, learn the unique footwork and stances, and immerse yourself in the captivating history and philosophy behind this distinguished martial tradition.
This workshop is open to all levels of experience and promises to be an enlightening and empowering experience for martial arts enthusiasts, history buffs, and anyone fascinated by the intersection of culture and combat. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with the heritage of Upper Egypt and unleash your inner warrior!
In this workshop I share forms, stance and some combos created from them.
